Half scientist, half engineer. I make drug delivery predictable.

I build mechanistic models of how therapeutic systems transport, release, and produce an effect. Those predictions guide controlled-release designs that I fabricate through 3D printing or electrospinning and evaluate in the lab. The resulting data recalibrate the model and guide the next design.

The research

Four stages. One closed loop.

Models guide what I build. Experiments shape what I model next.

01 PREDICT

MODEL

mechanistic · data-driven

I use ODE/PDE and AI/ML models to predict transport, release, PK/PD, and biological response before anything is built.

02 TRANSLATE

DESIGN

materials · geometry · release

I turn predictions into choices about materials, geometry, dose, and release, balanced against fabrication limits.

03 REALIZE

FABRICATE

3D printing · electrospinning

I turn computational designs into physical prototypes, controlling structure and composition so behavior can be tested.

TEST

in vitro · in vivo

I compare predictions with release, efficacy, safety, and response data, then recalibrate the model with the results.

Teaching & content

I've taught STEM to kids as young as five and adults into their late twenties — and I developed every course myself.

5–27 Age range
4 Courses built

Programming, electronics, biology, chemistry — I've built the curriculum for all of it from scratch. And when the curriculum already exists somewhere else, I'll tell you what's actually missing from it.

Science communication

A knowledge-based society only works if everyone gets a way in.

So I write and speak the science — in English and Arabic, wherever it'll land.

Zewail City Science Festival

The festival brings science to the public through exhibits and workshops. I wrote and performed a play where three royals debate King Tutankhamun's death — 25+ shows, 500+ people, Sir Magdi Yacoub among them.

Syrian Researchers

"سنعيد كتابة العلم بأبجدية عربية" — "We will rewrite science in Arabic." That's the Syrian Researchers motto, and it's the work I do there: writing, translating, and editing Arabic biology and evolutionary-science content, for readers who range from the curious public to working scientists.

Travel

I grew up in Suez, where a canal was dug to connect the world. I've always wondered what was on the other side of it — I go wherever I can, and I'm nowhere near done.
